On December 15th 2007, as the sun set over Mumbai, conscientious citizens switched off
their lights and electricals to extend their support to a campaign that is attempting to spread awareness about global warming among people
in the city and beyond.
We thank you for your participation; you made this event a success.
On that day, Mumbai saved 178.5MW of energy.
However, our work is not done yet. Our moral responsibilities are called upon every day by the shabby treatment still meted out to the environment.
We haven't reached out to everybody yet.
With your help, we're sure we can.
The next Batti Bandh will be on 15th June 2008, 7:30pm - 8:30pm.
This time, we will be joined by other cities across India.
