Mumbai Unplug is a movement initiated in order to increase awareness about Global Warming. This movement is not limited to just the few of us who initiated it, but is an open source forum where anyone concerned about the planet and it's people can come forward to help reverse the damage we have done. We are not part of any organisation or affiliated to any political party, corporate body, government or non governmental organisation.
This movement is aimed at educating the population of not only Mumbai but the entire country about global warming and its effects as well as methods in which one can combat global warming. Rich, poor, Educated, uneducated - it doesn't matter. This planet belongs to everyone and each one has an equal right to breathe clean air, drink clean water and enjoy every sight, sound, smell or taste that it has happily provided us with - until now. What nature has given us selflessly, we have taken for granted. It's time we stopped.
The earth has reached a point of self destruction. So before it does explode and take every beautiful thing, place, dream you have ever known, with it - we need to stop and correct what we have done wrong. We at Mumbai Unplug with your help are trying to do that and all we need from you is your help. Not your money, just your support. Start from home with the basic things - no to plastic, plant more trees and more importantly use energy wisely. Unplug everytime you do not need something. 14% of the worlds pollution is because of electricity.
Remember - It takes 1 to start a revolution.
